Installing Homebrew w/o loosing Game Functionality

I've got an old Wii that has been updated to the newest version - 4.2U. I've got Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus and would like to retain the ability to play these games while adding Homebrew.

What's the BEST way to accomplish this?

Please respond with associated threads and download links. I imagine I'm not the only one in this boat

No I'm sure you aren't. I don't know if you searched but the forum has several 4.2 threads in the tutorial section which may be what you are looking for, that's where most users start off.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

UPDATE: I was able to install Homebrew, BootMii, and DVDX WITHOUT downgrading. I simply followed the instructions here.

I was also able to get DVD Dumper v1.3 up and running and it's working like a charm (except no USB yet). I've got an old Wiikey solderless so playing backups isn't a problem.

All-in-All I'm very pleased as I've lost no functionality and gained an invaluable tool
