wii shop channel not working
i just soft-modded my wii using Dogeggs New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii guide. everything went perfect. iam just trying to get the shop channel. for some reason every time i click on it, it return back to the system menu. any help out there?

You need to update the shop channel and IOS61. I found it somehwere on teh forums, just give a look around.

i found an app name wiiscu. should i use this to update the IOS61?

No, there is a seperate app, WiiSCU has been said to have problems with updating to the latest shop channel. But WiiWare now offers Demos and mine is not working either. So WiiSCU might be able to work since it's a different update, I don't know =/.

My advice would to just try it and post back telling results. WiiSCU is a very reliable application, I'm quite confident in it working.

i tryed Wiiscu and it worked but when i try to go to the shop channel it gave me a message saying

"The Wii Shop channel is not currently available in your region."

I,m using a U.S Wii with 4.1U frimware. maybe because i only updated the IOS61. right now i was trying to update the wii shop channel using wiiscu but i got an error. so maybe it will probably work for you.

oh wait, in wii setting , the county was set to another. so it does work sorry.
