Just a little more info:

I can click on any of the channels, and at the bottom it will say "Wii Menu" and "Start". It displays the channel name... but when I click on "Start" the Wii just flashes a bunch of Wii logos across the screen and kicks me back out to the System Menu if that helps any...

Yes I did. Even used a different wad manager (1.5) this time.
