New here, need some ideas

Hi Im new here, and Im wondering whats the best way to go about installing homebrew on my girlfriends Wii. It is version 3.4, Im wondering what is the best way to go about, and who's guide is the best, when searching google a few different guides come up so I want to make sure you I use the best up to date one.

She is also worried about me messing something up and bricking it, so I was wondering if maybe the best way to go about it is to downgrade to 3.2 so I could install the Starfall Bricker protector thingy, which would make her the least nervous about this all.

I also saw if you update to 4.0 you dont even need the Legend of Zelda, which would save us one trip,

So there are a few different ways to go about this all I just want to know everyone's thoughts on this.

So Im just looking for some helpful suggestions, and ideas about the best way to go about this all

Thanks everyone!

The tutorial by dogeggs is the best in my opinion. I've used it on 6 different wiis. If you are able to install bootmii as boot2 this will recover you from about 99 percent of bricks. there's also a great tutorial on how to safely upgrade to 4.1 that I've used a lot.

Do yourself a favor and don't follow any guides or videos that aren't from this site. They usually end in FAIL.
