Playing Legit WSR on firmware 4.1U?

I have a softmodded 4.1U firmware unit. I have HBC and WAD installer and installed cios38rev14. It was originally modded with the Twilight Hack.
The unit is working fine. I just am trying to figure out how to play the game, it keeps asking for Update.

Also is it safe to install BootMII? Or a Nand backup program?

Dont you have preloader installed to bypass the update?

I haven't installer preloader yet. Only have HBC, WAD 1.6 and did the 4.1u update. Also when I installed cios38rev14 I selected the IOS246 on the menu because I wasn't sure which IOS to install.

Should I install preloader first before anything?

I next want to install USB loader so I can use a harddrive.
    Here are my IOS installed 60 250 249 16 254 51 37 10 50 36 35 34 33 31 28 22
    20 17 15 14 13 12 11 21 MIOS sysmenu 9 4, I looked at using any title deleter.

when you installed your cios38 rev14, you installed it as the wrong ios. You should have installed it as ios249. You can tell this by going into neogamma. It wont say rev14 at the bottom. Also, yes install preloader and have it set up to bypass disc updates. Also install bootmii and make a backup of your nand just incase you brick down the road.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.

I did install with IOS249 instead of 246. My mistake, That is why AnyTitle shows IOS249 and not 246. So I think I am good on that.
I will read more and try to install the other programs you mentioned.

    Thanks
