    Can I update to 4.1?

I have an LU65 Wii tht is on 3.4U Firmware. Can I update using the Firmware Updater 4.1 app that I have in the Homebrew Channel to safely update and keep all of my hacks/files?

I want to update that way I can use the SD Card Menu and install Preloader .29.

Hanks for all of your help so far. I know that you are very busy and all but I followed a guide from somewhere and now my wii screen just flickers and then it goes black. It acts like the screen cable isn't even pluged in. The power will come on but that's it. Can YOU help me?

I used to have preloaded v.29 but that bricked my wii. I had to use a boot.dol file to get back to the homebrew channel to recover from that brick. Preloaded doesn't seem to be installed anymore for some reason. I do have a full brick. is there any way to recover this wii? I got this wii on October 1 (my birthday) from my mom and dad. That was the 2nd wii that they gave me. I'm sad.

    Answer to the first question-
I really don't know. I just installed Preloader v.29 and the next thing I know I cant go to the Wii System Menu because it said that the system files are corrupted.

    Answer to the second question-
I installed the patched IOS60 using WiiSCU. I then used Firmware-Updater_4.1 to update to 4.1. Then my wii froze when it said hit any button to return to the system menu. I turned my Wii off and then back on and now its bricked with no preloader or bootmii. And this is my 2nd Wii.

Is there anything that I can do on the inside of my Wii to reset it back to factory settings? I can get inside of it, but I just want to know if I can reset it back to when I first got it. I'll use anything right about now. thanks.
