Yes ...we've (thousands ) playing on-line with backups...no problem... atm

using a totally stealth chip is recommended.

there are always way to detect anything if they really wanted to...

    Disabling your wii...highly unlikely

banning...possible...but they better be sure of what you are doing first.

however none of their past patterns would indicate that the big N will take that route.

another way to look at it is: banning only equals the cost of approx 4 good retail games (new wii)....now how many games were you planning to buy for your wii?

For games such as SSBB, doesn't each CD contain its own friend code? So, if you were to torrent a game, will I still be able to play multiplayer?

I thought that the Wii motherboards weren't chipped, unlike the Xbox, but rather the disc drive, which is why Nintendo won't be able to trace the chip as there is no change to the consoles firmware / software.

Is this wrong? I'm sure my chip was attached to the disc drive.

Ah right - I don't have wii key, I think it maybe the YAOSM. It works fine and is apparently undetectable. I do worry that with everyone having WiiKey that maybe it's the option i should have gone for.

no you can't decide what mod chip you want it is only luck you will need because you may have gc2-d2c and it is only compatible with d2ckey,d2cpro(d2ckey clone),d2pro,argon.

I was given a choice - i went for the cheapest!! But it works with everything so I don't see a problem at the moment.

Apparently with my Wii being one of the old ones (LEH104 i think) it meant it was super easy to mod. So i went for the cheap quick option.
