SD Card 2 GB and 16 GB

So I have 2 SD cards one 2GB and one 16 GB. Wii supports up to 32 GB. I can use either card in Homebrew and load whatever I want. I cannot however use the 16 GB one in Rock Band 2 or Read from it of the main 4.1U system menu. Anyone know what is going on here? Can I not use the 16 GB or what ios do I need? Like I said homebrew is fine with the 16 GB card.

Rock Band 2 will not work with SDHC cards. Nothing you can do about it unfortunately.
