What is a modded Wii?

I have no idea what they are. I want to know. I know what a Wii is, I'm not stupid, i have one. just what does it mean "modded"? and what does that do?

Modded means that they add a modification chip so it will bypass the security built intop the game cd


that just means yopu can rent a game or borrow it , make a copy with clone cd or another like program and play the game as long as you want


unfortunatley unless you own a retail copy of a game already this is illegal

i have no idea what u are talking about but there is no such thing as a modded wii it is just things you can use with it

its modified with custom body parts or internal components. i hear wii updates can cause mod chips to not work, and that it can damage the wii

This one pretty much summed it all, but ill add a little on. A "modded wii" is a wii that was disassembled and was added a chip into it. It can play burned/back up games.
