Unhappy Help!!! My wii won't show wii menu!!!

I have cIOS35 rev 7 installed, and I was installing an MPlayer WAD Channel and when it was done, I clicked restart wii and it seemed okay at first, but when I pressed A at the Health & Safety screen it just showed a black screen with the wii menu music playing (the music ended after about two seconds!!!)

I was wondering if anyone could give me a solution to my problem...

I REALLY don't want to pay to have my wii repaired, let alone buy a new one!

Anyone who responds to this with anything worth reading will be the "Referrer" for a new wiihacks account. Every answer is appreciated, thank you.

Banner brick caused by you installing MPlayer WAD.

Solution: Launch bootmii/boot2 or preloader and then wad manager and uninstall the wad.

If you don't have bootmii/boot2 or Preloader, then it gets tricky. You'll need a modchip, a savemii or a modded Gamecube controller, an autobooting disc and a slice of luck.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

I don't have bootmii, but I have a softmod. I tried pressing the four arrows with a naked GC controller (I took it apart to press all the buttons at once) when turning on the wii, and it went to another black screen that said my system menu vers. which was said at the bottom-right corner like this: Menu 4.1u (USA)

I've tried autoboot discs from downloaded isos put on DvD+Rs but they won't boot...

My dad and I are just deciding to send it to Nintendo and have them repair it for free, when we told them that it was from installing a corrupt WAD, they didn't say anything that would be scary like "We are reporting you to the FBI!" Nintendo is cool!

I hope that works out for you but they are probably only repairing for free because of their nasty 4.2 update. Once they have your Wii they may hold it for a ransom once they realise it's your fault it bricked.

The recovery screen you managed to get up is the first part of the process, autoboot discs require a modchip to load.
