softmod v4.0 and the wii fit

hi guys have a slight problem

modded the wii with the 4.0 softmod
accidently once softmodded i put a copy of ice age 3 in the wii and it updatted to 3.4e
I still have the hbc installed so i thought just install backup launcher and all done.
well everythjing worked fine till i dl the beatles and tried to play it.
    black screen
i then searched this site and ended up installing iso56-64-v5146.wad
    this didnt do it
    i then installed cios38_rev14-Installler..
once this was installed i installed Neo Gamma R7 and Backup Launcher-WBKL.wad which seemed to so0lve all my problems except for when the misses tried to play on the wii fit.....

cant get the wii to recorgnise it so it wont work with the wii

Is there any pointers on how to get this wii fit working with the modifications i have made.....
everything works fine except the fit (dunno about guitar either as i dont hasve one but i think this would come up with the same problem)../.....

    ANY HGELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

well, as im sure you now know, updating a softmodded Wii from a disc is a very bad idea, and is a major cause of bricking!

Are you saying the Wiifit balance board is not working? or The game itself? Ive not read of anyone having problems with the board tbh. Have you tried following the instructions in your Wii manual to re-sync the board to the Wii?

    bad idea

yep i know it was a bad idea updating from the disk but i am new to this and done it totaly by mistake.....
wasnt really looking what i was doing at the time.....

i have tried all the ways i know to get the fit married back to the wii.

What does this mean for me then if i have 3.4e installed with hbc neo and backup launcher.?
the disks do not get recorgnised in the disk channel so no more updates, i have disconected the wii from the internet so now more updates from there. All seems to be working except the fit and maybe the guitar(dont know havnt tried). Does this mean my wiii will eventually brick itself? or will it be safe to use as its beeen alright so far.need input on this as i feel like a complete noob here even though i have been in the cable modification zone for years now and felt quite competent with technology till i tried this,....

    cheers in advance

from what i remember, 3.4 is bad!

I would say update to 4.1 with waninkoko's firmware updater, but i dont know if that would help, and if it would cause any problems, best to wait for someone who knows!

Your other problem is that you seem to have cIOScorp installed (thats what allowed you to run games from the Disc channel), now you have updated, and this no longer works, so Fk knows what state your IOS's are in now.

So, i would think your problems are caused by the lack of some IOS's, which should be fixed by updating to 4.1, but you need to do some reading as to what that involves due to the state your Wii is currently in!

    you should be fine.

Its just that cIOScorp changes a LOT of things that most people dont understand.

Do you have Bootmii installed? and a NAND backup? (this is the first thing you should do before going anywhere near cIOSCorp)

Updating to 4.1 shoudl be fine and solve some of your screwed up IOS's, i just said to wait for someone who knows as there was an issue with upgrading/downgrading that could cause a brick, and i remeber it involved 3.4, but i cant find the thread now! i think the problem was if you went 4.1 > 3.2 > 3.4 you had a problem with a stub iso 60 and no working system menu. But if you already made it to 3.4, that shouldnt be a problem.

Thumbs up lol i am a noob

been trying all night to get this wii fit working without actually putting the disk in (DER)... just tried puttting the disk in and got it to check the fit board and hey presto works fine......damn i am a newb in the most noobinesss sense of the word......

just put wii snowboarding and ski thing in (backup) launched it with backuplauncher and the wii fit come straight on and works fine with it.

thank you for all your input just one more question.

Seeen as everything is working at the moment and all backups are working (have about 25 now including all the new ones) through the backup launcher (dont need disk channel) do you think i will have a problem seen as its beeen alright so far?
would like to keep it as it is and if its gonna be alright then i dont wanna chance briking it to get it to do something that it is already doing.
thank u for all your input again you have been very helpfull
