Angry mplayer ce .75 wont load.

I recently added mplayer ce to my 4.1u, and at first it loaded fine, no problems except that it wouldn't play dvd. I had dvdx installed, nothing. ran the cios installer for usb2 so i could bypass the dvdx altogether, still no dvd. Then it just took a crap. I cant even get the mplayer ce to load anymore. It freezes on the "loading mplayer ce 0.75" screen and never moves. Also right before it freezes my wiimote just shuts down, no lights. I removed the mplayer, and reinstalled it, still nothing. I have geexbox, usb loader gx, wad manager, neogamma, all of my backups play. everything else works fine. Anybody else had this issue, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you got it installed as a channel or just on your SD card?

I have it in my apps folder on my sd card at the moment. I've tried a channel, used a forwarder. Still can't get it to work again. I just can't figure out why it worked in the beginning and then just stopped.

Have you tried an older version, say 0.72?

I haven't yet, but that is what I'm going to try next, i guess, when I get off of work today. I can't really think of anything else.

late replyi know but try Downloading the cIOS Installer for USB2 HERE and choose IOS36 as the IOS in the selection screen, then Press A to install, watch it encase it fails and returns to HBC. Now boot Mplayer, it should load fine now.

I had everything working fine with Mplayer CE v62, then I upgraded to v75 and the screen freezes after I select OPEN. I rolled it back to v62 and it works again. I am struggling with Vista shares for SMB, either it is Vista not allowing the share or I can't get the syntax correct. However I have the SMB working well with my NAS box.

Can someone provide an example of the syntax they use for SMB to a Vista PC?

I am trying to setup Mplayer CE to play DVD on a friends unit with 4.2U; All the homebrew seems to run fine but I can't get it to read DVD's. I used the IOS38-64-v3610.wad and uninstalled the 249 stub but no luck. Anyone have any ideas to get it to work on a 4.2U system?
