    Question Should I Upgrade?

Every week I see a brand new CIos released, or a CIoscorp, or something new to *make my Wii better*, etc...
I've been wondering recently if it's best to always upgrade when these are released? I hear of semi-bricks happening 24/7, and I want to make sure my Wii won't brick out on me or shoot my disc at me (google it). I hear of stuff to avoid, and stuff to d/l, but always mixed company about everything.

So, this brings me to my question.
Should I upgrade my CIso everytime a new one comes out? I understand the risks, but is it worth it?
(I haven't upped my CIos in over four months)

I'm hoping this becomes a discussion thread, to answers other noobz' questions about CIos upgrading.

Are there any downsides to either of them?

Most of the cIOSs released by Waninkoko don't really have any downsides. Newer cIOS revs just have bug fixes, error fixes etc. Example, rev14 has a 001 fix implemented. Updates can be found in their changelogs.
