    CIOS 249 and SSBB

I have the lateset USB loader GX installed and have tried isos from multiple original SSBB disks. however during play i get the light green screen saying reinsert disk etc. It seems that this happens at random while playing the game. I have not had any issues with any other games.

I have searched and not come up with too much ... all i can find is to downgrade to cios36 rev 13 or lower but I am at 249 for my hard drive to work. Has anyone been able to get this to work properly? TIA

    cIOS36 Rev 10, cIOS38 rev 12, cIO 38 rev 13a, cIOS38 rev 13b, cIOS38 rev 14 are all installed to IOS249.

Some say you need to use cIOS38 rev 13a to play SSBB. If you are having issues then you might want to look for a rev13a installer and try installing it.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

you might want to try the Hermes 222/223 cios's. I had to use that to get it working, and to stop it locking up on solo modes. Some people seem to be able to run it without, some seem to need it!

I have not been able to get 222/223 to work. I have tried many different combinations. They all result in a black screen after the first character is defeated in solo mode. I am using usb loader gx and a backed up copy of original game. I thought bad dump at first but I redumped with same results. I have read about others having the same problem.

Too bad 222/223 is not working for me. I am using cios38rev14. All my other backup games play perfectly.

All of my other games except for Metriod Prime Trilogy and SSBB works perfectly.
    I have wii 4.1U softmod
    Homebrew channel 1.0.5 IOS61v19.25
    cios38rev14
    USB Loader GX (lastest version)
Hermes cios 222/223, IOS37 merged with IOS38 & IOS60 merged with IOS38; however, I keep getting a black screen after I beat kirby with Mario in the Solo Adventure mode.
I copy SSBB to external hdd from the original game disc.

    Please help someone!

Did you try downgrading to rev 13a or rev 13b? I read somewhere in one of the Threads that this will make it work; however, I don't know whether this is correct or not.

I have read that the freezing and the black screens have something to do with rev 14. But I have yet to come across a sound solution to this problem.

cIOS38 rev14 fails at dual layer disc support.

you need to install Hermes cIOS 222/223 to play SSBB.

After installing it, if you are playing from a disc, you should use the softchip r99 loader, and select cIOS 222 or 223 to play.

If you are using USB, then any USB loader will allow you to select these options.

I also believe that USB Loader GX will allow the booting of DVD's.
