Homebrew installed on 4.0E....Now what ?

    Hi Guys and Gals.

I joined up yesterday and only started looking into the softmod that morning.

So far, with this sites help I have managed to put Homebrew onto my 4.0E Wii.

I used "How to get Homebrew Channel on virgin 4.0 Wii!", but it doesn't continue any further than just installing homebrew.

Anyway, with some further reading I came across "New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wi" which is much more detailed which has helped me install wad manager 1.4 and cios ??? other files ??? but I am getting very confused as to where I am and what to do next.

Does the cios manager and pre loader etc load onto the wii or do they stay on sd ?

(Maybe im just not as technically minded as I like to think)

Now that I have homebrew installed, can I just remove sd from wii and format it?

If so, what would I then need to play backups from disc and usb/sd ?

I will keep looking, but would appreciate if someone maybe able to assist in helping a newbie.

    Thanks

    ZEN

Everything you need to get going is in the guide you used. You need to keep the data on your SD card.
Wads get installed from the wad manager, as channels,
.dols get installed from the apps directory, run from HBC
Get a loader, read how it works, Neogamma or USB Loader GX.
You will have to look hard at what you are doing, if not you will have anpleasant experience, instead of the wonderful world of a hacked Wii.

--after hbc, ok to do it.
--then, should copy all those apps folder, wad folder into sd card.

If so, what would I then need to play backups from disc and usb/sd ?
    --say, NegoGamma, SoftChip, usb_loader
--install it as channel, or pick to use fm sdcard (via hbc) at wish
