Does this mean now I have 4.1 installed that I'll be buggered for trying to launch games from the Backup Launcher?
You'll need to confirm your system menu version, these steps shoudl work for wither system menu 3.2X, 4.0X or 4.1X
hmm... I am going to assume that it is cios249rev7. A good way to check is to find a copy of neogamma, make sure the .dol file is called boot.dol, then add it to a folder called neogamma then copy that folder to your apps folder on your sd card. When you go into the homebrew channel, you should see the launcher. To be on the safe side click on the launcher, click ok then hold down the 1 button on your controller. You should see at the bottom of the screen
NeoGamma R# iso 249 (revX) the X indicates the revision number and that is what I was looking for.
What I did with mine was go out and fine cioscorp 3.3 (don't use 3.4 if you plan to play rockband: beatles). Some people will recommend against this setup but I recommend it for use with people without a lot of wii hacking know how because it will update ALL of the cios (except the 56 needed for GH5)
You will also need preloader 0.29 (again a quick google search should give it to you).
Install both of these (cioscorp 3.3 then preloader), should be able to follow the steps out lined for neogamma above.
After that go ahead and find a file call cios56-rev14 (sorry don't remember where I got it from). Make sure that it is the rev14 there is a ios56-64-XXXX but don' wasted your time (I was stuck on this on this for a while). you would use your wad manager to install this program.
