Beatles RB2 - start button = instant black screen

I am trying to load the official game disc on a softmodded wii. I have tried disc channel and my backup loader channel. on disc loader as soon as i hit start the screen goes black and I have to pull power to restart...same thing happens in BU loader after it reads the disc
Any help is very much appreciated by the wife and 2 kids PEACE

If you have preloader or starfall installed, they will prevent disc updates if you run an original copy game through the disc channel. Youll end up with a black screen freeze which is where the disc update would take place. Depending on which backup launcher you use, it wont load the game either. What backup launcher are you using?

Using Legend of Gamma Backup Launcher...when i hit start it says backup launcher 0.3 gamma IOS 249 @ the bottom, and GAMMA across the top with wiigator written diagonally beside that! Sorry for not knowing more but i am still learning. I relly do appreciate the help man. I believe I did install starfall, if there is a way to check, i can do so i get back to ya.

Hey, having the same problem. Just upgraded to 4.1U and the disc channel was saying "system update" so I disabled the update check and it does show on the disc channel now but goes black when I launch. Is there a new launcher to be using? Ive been out of the loop for a little while.

    same problem

I am also having a problem with this, I have the IOS56 loaded and I couldn't get the disc to load last night. Doesn't matter if you are using the downloaded ver of beatles rock band (pal) or the legit BeatlesRB Disc dumped to a hdd w/ USB/SD Loader v1.5. all gives you BLACK SCREEN. The legit disc wants you to do a wii system update, which might brick me now that I've bannerbomb'ed and homebrewed. Gamma 0.3 loader didnt work either, still gives you a BLACK screen even with the legit disc(NTSC).

    Any advice?
