    new Internet Channel question

Hi, as most of you know, there was an updated version of the internet browser with Adobe flash lite 3.1.

I already installed an older version of the browser a month ago (was a wad file). I erased it with the Data Management built into the Wii. I go to the Wii shop channel for the new version of the browser and it asks me to go back to the menu for an update.

So my question is, is this an update for the System Menu (to the newest one) and completely mess with my homebrew? Right now I am on 3.1 or 3.2 U and I am using cIOS38 rev14 too.

    Thanks in advance.

There is an update button in the shop channel for the internet, next to gifts. use that for the update , Do not use the general update. I paid 500points for my channel before I softmodded, I'm supposed to get this back sometime in October, not that bothered though.

If you carry out this instruction it will bring your Wii to 4.1. Nintendo don't really want people on 3.1 or 3.2

You may have issues using this update.

Try Waninkoko update 4.1 as detailed on this tutorial http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...l-working.html You will retain homebrew and get to 4.1.

Whether or not the shop channel will work afterwards though is another thing.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Tealc, I am intrigued by this. I don't want to update to 4.1, when I went to the shop channel It suggested I updated the internet channel. So I made the first step, it then asked where do I want to update to Wii or SD, I said SD, it then said SD already has the channel, so I deleted the backup, it then wanted me to save it to the Wii, at this point I came out. I have read that its a channel update not a system update, but I will take your advice if you think its a system update.

Looks to me, from the image that was posted, that Nintendo have you update your system first to 4.1 and then when you come back to Shop channel it'll update that too. Two updates to get a channel where you have to pay for stuff, mental.

I used the 4.1 update awhile back you mentioned above ... and it works great for mostly everything.

But as you insinuated... It did fubar the shop channel for me. Which is no biggie by any means.

Thank you all for the help. I think I'll just stick to what I have for now, or wait until theres some sort of patch.

By the way, is this too old:
