I'm not sure what you mean by make sure you have the cIOS 202 & 222/223 installed.

I downloaded CIOS 38 rev 14. Then renamed it to boot.dol, put it a subfolder in the apps folder, then installed it from the HBC. When I ran the boot.dol file it asked me which IOS do I want to install it on, I chose the default ISO249, did I do this correctly, or was I supposed to choose a different IOS.
Sorry about not answering your post earlier. Been busy. :/

Anyways, cIOS 38r14 as IOS 249 is what I have too.

202/222/223 is for USB 2.0 on the wii.

you should google for IOS installer by hermes for more info.
Here is the uLoader 3.0 package, this contains the installer for v4 of his IOS'es.

    Start installer.
Select IOS249 to use during install.
Select Install Custom IOS 222 and then IOS37 merged with IOS38.
    Restart installer.
Select Custom IOS 223 and then IOS60 merged with IOS38
Restart installer and install 202 too.

    working

    Hi Svin,

I bought the WD my passport essential 500gb, and have got it to work.

The only difference is I marked the Fat 32 partition I have for movies as Active.

I fromatted 33GB as FAT32 using swissknife, then formatted the rest of the drive as RAW using Windows Disk Management

Formatted it using WBFS manager as WBFS. Loaded games to it.

Connected USB port on the left of the Wii while Wii is upright and facing you(right one wouldn't work).

USB Loader GX works, I have also downloaded covers, and installed my DVD backups to the USB disk.

The only one I haven't had working is Wii Sports resort. WBFS manager imported it as 0.83 GB (which seems relatively small) (probably compressed?)
I ran it on USB Loader GX, and it came up with the 002 error, then I enabled the error 002 fix from the USB Loader configuration. Tried loading it again, and it takes me back to the Normal Wii Menu.

    Am I missing something?

The acutal data on the partition of the wii disk is usually smaller then the image file - the manager knows what to leave out but mine is like 0.83gb for WSR also

with the sport resort - do a search - this site has some guides on how to get it working - Alt .dol method - It is a known issue and fixable

    Cheers,

Thanks SVIN. Im about to format my HD today and this was exactly what I was looking for. Kudos.

And a way to contribute back to the thread

    FOR Suky321:

As for the Wii Sports Resorts. this is a known issue. I just got mine to work last night by searching a few threads.

So to make this as simple as possible... Install the Wii sport Resort game with WBFS. Assuming that you have a copy of Wii sports Resort ISO on you computer, get the Program WiiScrubber. Open up that program and extract the ISO a data file called "player.dol"

Now that you have player.dol file, rename it to RZTE01.dol. (for US) or RZTE01.dol. (for PAL)
Now create a folder called USBLoader GX on the root of you SD memory card.
Then copy RZTE01.dol file into that folder.

GO into Homebrew channel and load USBLoader GX. Then change the setting to 002 Fix "ON", Altdol "ON" and make sure Altdol is set to "SD".
After you have these setting, run the Wii Sports Resort Iso from you HDD.
It will play the Wii Motion Plus Video tutorial and you will have to watch the whole thing otherwise you will get a Black Screen Error1 if you try to run this game. After you watch the entire video the machine will reset.

Now load USBLoader GX again and Choose AltDOL "OFF", because you don't need to see that video again. after you do this run the game.

People said thatIf the game don't start, it's because you don't have the new cIOS and You need to be on REV13. Thats the version Im on.

    Hard Drive

I used Svin's HD method and it worked like a charm

I also bought the WD my passport essential 500gb. Works flawlessly.
Just follow the direction step by step.. take your time.. its easy to overlook

the first time around I forgot to rihgt click the partition and make it active..

its easier than ppl think. I can now partition it in about a minute tops.

Thanks SVIN. No more Wii Discs for me
