    Arrow BIG PROBLEM please help!

    Hello, I got a big problem on my hands, my friend asked me to install backup channel on his wii, and since I got one myself he only brought the console itself, I used my cables, power supply and sensor bar on his, BUT, his console won't turn on, it's receiving power (the red light is on) but as soon as I press the power button the light goes orange and then fades, I also tried to power it up by the eject button and inserting a disc, no good either.

    I'm thinking that maybe it was my power supply that screwed it up and asked him to bring his to do a little test, but I got the same result.

    What could have happened? And how can I solve it?

    Please any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Presuming that you have not done anything to mod the wii yet and that you have not found a satisfying answer, you can send it to N to fix it... it should be within guaranty... Just don't mention that you swiched cables

    Check the adapters for the voltage measurment and see if there diffrent. Mine (E) is 230V with 50 hertz but if you are in america it could be diffrent. Sounds a bit like a dodge Wii to me because im always doing that but il know not 2 now anyway!

    America 110Vrms,60Hz

    Yet it's not the case.. To me it sounds more that the wii has some kind of a hardware failure if it does not work with your friends cable also... Yet i am not an expert

    USA = 120V/60hz
    Brazil = 127V/60hz in Bahia, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais
    220V/60hz everywhere else (except 240v/60hz in Fortaleza)

    Depending where in Brazil you are, you may have fried the US Wii.

    Maybe not the system but probably the external power block. Before you do anything I would buy a new one. You can get them off amazon and gamestop for $15 USD
