Backup Games Keep Freezing :( All of Them

I'm kinda new to softmod with the wii, but I'm looking to, and am learning more daily. My problem is I have a wii updated to 4.1u, and cIOS249 rev14, and I have been using Neogamma 7 to load USB backup games, and every game I have tried freezes at one point or another. ( I have been looking at different forums on this site to try and fix my problem (I look before asking) and no help. For example, I play House of The Dead Overkill and upon getting to the 6th or 7th level (the prison), after the cut scene it freezes/stalls. It also happens if a replay a level more than once in one sitting. It has stalled playing Summer Sport 2, Dead Rising, & Punch Out (only stalled once). I haven't had it stall while playing Guitar Hero Smash Hits or Metroid (although I haven't played them all that much) Super Smash Bros. froze but I read about a fix for that, I installed it but have not yet tested it. I have many different loaders, I have not yet tried them all. I have many different cIos versions dloaded and on my sdcard. I have debated whether or not downgrading to 3.2u would help, but after reading more on this site I guess it wouldn't really change too much? and can also be dangerous if a game ever updates it. I guess my question is how do I stop this. Is it something a different loader would fix, should I install different older cIOS versions (will that do anything) should I install that new cIOSCorp 3.3? Oh I can load using an external 160gb 2.5 smartdrive, 40gb 2.5 external "noname" brand, or a 4gb toshiba flashdrive. (I prefer the smart drive) I use WBFS Manager to format the drives and put the iso's on them. I did extract the iso's off the 40gb using WBFS to put them on the 160gb. I don't think it's a spin down issue... Sorry if thats too much info but I want to b thorough. Please Help Me!!!

What kind of DVDs are you using? DVD-Rs are better than DVD+Rs and Verbatims are recommended. Also are you burning at low speeds. If you are using good media it could be that the disc could have been damaged. If your wondering why DVD-Rs:

Tried USB Loader GX with House of The Dead Overkill, and it still is stalling at the same specific scene. Downgraded to 249 13b and still doing the same thing. House of the dead is different than the other stalls/freezing i get from the other games. I can still access the home button from the wii controller and get back to the wii menu but it won't load past that point. Any ideas? As for the other games I will have to try them with USB Loader Gx to see if they still stall after some gameplay. Should I try an earlier version of cIOS? Or install cIOSCorp 3.3?

EDIT: I tried loading from USB Loader Gx with my 40gb hd and it works. I am going to get another full version of HOTDO and put it on again with WBFS Manager and see if it is a hd problem or because I had to extract the iso from my 40gb to put on my 160. I will use USB Loader Gx with the other games and get back to you if they stall.

Better check compatibility of the hard drive. Also check that the drive does not turn off automatically while you play b/c it thinks that you don't use it..
