Unhappy Help !! My wii is dead !!

    Hello!

After I soft-modded my Wii, it would not play any games. So I decided to try to reinstall some things. But now I come to the problem that when I restarted the Wii, it said that the Wii system files were corrupted. I then tried to restart the Wii again, but still, there was no thing. Black screen, although the Wii is turned on. Nor is there any chance to connect with a Wii-mote. I've tried searching everywhere on how to boot from SD card without firmware, but it is not possible. Have tried to hold the "Reset" button, just after having switched on the console, etc. As far as I understand, there is not much hope ahead, but as it is now to be a few weeks ago this happened, I would just try to ask here. All ideas are welcome, but preferably not a patronizing messages about how stupid I am, etc..

    Thank you in advance,
    Haxor[DK]

looks like its a full brick unless you have boot2, you're wii is gone but what did you try re-installing? and are you sure that the Video Cable is connected properly because its kind of strange how it was banner bricked then when you restarted you got a full brick.

Seems like your buddy is looking for some answers for ya as well?

Yeah if bootmii isn't installed could be out of luck - may need to send back to Nintendo and as you've installed foreign software you've voided your warranty - Could cost money for them to fix - or depending on where you go it - bringing it back may be an option ? Could work.

I once bought a Calculator Ti-85 and the link broke - so a buddy of fine went and bought a new one - exchanged guts and then returned it back - bad I know but I wonder if it would work with a wii - little more work then a calc but who knows

I think God might have a problem with it but i think of it as a grey area - who really knows?

When you installed bootmii it had you setup an SD card with some files - these files need to be on the card in order to run and put back on you backup of your NAND ? You did a back up?

The reset option is if you installed Preloader to the system as well ?

Do you have preloader? - Need the card in with the Hacks.ini on it?

That's because the system IOS has to be intact for preloader to work if you are on v4.0 or v4.1 then that's IOS60 if you're on v3.2 then that's IOS30. If bootmii is installed as an IOS then that can not help you but if you have it as boot2 then when you put it's setup files on your sd card it will load it but unless you can access the homebrew channel from boot2 then i don't think you can bring back your wii but can you tell me exactly what did you do so i can see if I can actually help you.

Well without a backup - I would say it's a brick but that's just my guess

Even with Preloader installed you don't have a backup to reinstall

If is installed as IOS still possible to load backup - ? Ture ? Not Ture?

Just read your last post - yeah if the system menu is corrupt Preloader can't run - I forgot

System menu most likely shot if nothing will load

    Cheers,

It wouldnt be possible because when bootmii is installed as an IOS it can only be accessed by pressing home in the homebrew channel but since Preloader is gone he cant boot into homebrew channel.
