I am having issue to install the SSBB to my USB drive, it reaches to 53% and then it became very slow. The game play fine on DVD but I like to install this, am I missing something? TIA.

Maybe it's having trouble with the layer change. I don't know if there's a fix, or even if they are supported in loaders. It seems that these loaders are quite susceptible to scratches too, or at least they were with me.

A workaround would be to get hold of an iso and load that to your USB, bit of a bind but at least it's backed up and safe.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

It installed fine for me, no issues, the game is supported on USB HDD. Try using WBFS Manager to install ISO from computer to HDD.

I'm having a problem with SMBB and USB LoaderGx. The game loads to all the title screens, but once I go to start a match it crashes. I've tried it with 002 on and off as well as a few other things but nothing seems to work. This is the dual layer version. I had the single layer before, and it worked fine on dvd. I'd like to be able to play the dual layer.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just tried deleting my old save file, now the game loads to the battle screen but once I win a fight it crashes to the Disc Read Error screen again.

try getting an orginal game disc and installing it to HDD. Rent, borrow, steal, or even buy it, I found that installing from the orginal game disc (not dirty or scratched) will work 100% of the time (unless it's one of these games). I installed from orginal game disc and it works fine.

edit - found this at that link I posted, gbatemp

    Super Mario Smash Brothers Brawl
For usb loaders there should be no problem. For disc loading you need cIOS rev8 or higher. And maybe you need to set the layer break of the disc to 2084960 manually. And there are a lot of Wiis which have severe problems with dual layer discs, even with retail discs. DVD5 versions of the game seem to work fine with all cIOS from rev7 and up.

    Thanks.
I've also found something on gbatemp about having to use Hermes Ios222 to get it working. That doesn't seem to work for me either though. I installed Hermes 222, ran it with Block IOS on and off. I just get a black screen that goes no where.
Could cioscorp be mucking something up?

    My system:
    4.1U, Usb Loader GX, Cios38 Rev 14, NG7, Cioscorp 3.3, Preloader 0.29

    Problem Solved!
    I installed IOS's 38,53,55 found here:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-dow...8-53-55-a.html

I'm using Hermes 223 60 merged with 36 so I changed it to 223 in the game load settings. Saved and ran the game. Loaded subspace emissary, won a battle, now it continues without disc read error! Most awesome.

This worked for me too(using latest GX loader and iso from USB HD), thanks.
