Need Help With Installing Back Up Launcher on Wii v4.0e !!?
just installed the hombrew channel on my wii, and all i really want to do is play back up games on it, but i need a back up launcher and i dont know how to install one. ive been looking around and apparently most back up launchers wont work on version 4.0e, i was just wondering what one will and if you are very kind then step by step instructions on how to install it. I have nothing on my sd card apart from the stuff for the homebrew channel stuff so if i need anything else (i heard something about i need cIOS?) then please tell me what it is. Im really stuck and confused so PLEASE help me! really appreciate any help given, thanks!
NeoGamma Thread - GBAtemp.net.
That's the NeoGamma Backup Loader. They can be loaded from the Homebrew Channel. It also contains cIOS 38 Rev14, which is what the Backup loader requires to load. First, install cIOS 38 Rev 14 via the dol. Then, NeoGamma should work perfectly since the cIOS that requires it to load is functional.
ok this might sound really stupid but how do i install cIOS 38 Rev 14 via the dol? i dont even know what a dol is (im a complete noob). and when you say install neogamma via the homebrew channel, i have no ideo how to do that. when i open the homebrew channel on my wii all it is is some moving bubbles and i dont know what else to do. i really appreciate any help, thanks!
I'm guessing you don't have an Apps file on your SD Card?

2) Make a folder for NeoGamma and cIOS 38 Rev 14. (If they came in folders, just drag the folders into the Apps folder.
3) Open the files and look for the .dol file. If they came with Meta.XML and something like that, there's nothing to edit. If the file just comes with a dol (Example : cIOS.dol), you need to rename it to boot.dol for it to appear. If you load a DOL with no Meta.XML or the like, it has no icon, so it's easier to find.
4) NeoGamma would not require to be installed. Once you install cIOS 38, NeoGamma will work perfectly. Just set the settings correctly and you're good to go.
