Can I update my Wii after installing...

I watched a great video explaining the process of hacking your Wii.
I want to know if I can update my Wii after applying the hacks mentioned in the video?

Of course! But if you update with Nintendo, YOU GET BRICKED (most of the time).

Go use a guide somewhere on THIS site (they're better)

If you wanna update your wii after softmodding it (messing with the software, not hardware), you will need to use waninkoko's updater (run it through homebrew channel). I think if you have a hardmodded wii (has a modchip), you can update no problem.

One thing you must make sure to do after hacking your wii is to turn off wiiconnect24, or else it will auto detect your hacks and brick you.

Although you CAN update, it's best to downgrade your wii to system menu 3.2 because it gives you more options and stuff.

    Thank you for the reply.
I am checking out this tutorial http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ies-4-1-a.html

Could Nintendo also detect hack games if you play online games or is it only wiiconnect24?

    NOOBIE BS......

You can leave your Wiiconnect on or off it does not make a differents. Nity will not check your system for hacks period.

You can run Home Brew on any system version that Wii has..

System menu 3.2 does not give you more options,4.0 and 4.1 adds the SD card channel.

And as far as upgrading or downgrade...Downgrading is more dangerous then upgrading...

Please do not use any of them damn videos...They are very dangerous..
Everything you need and can do to your Wii is here on this site..
A little reading can go along ways plus it will help you understand what you are doing.

If you follow those videos you will never learn anything and you will have problems later on...
