What am I doing wrong: trying to play backup with NeoGamma and cIOS38

So I downloaded and installed cIOS38 Rev 14 and NeoGamma R7 and when I go to play the game from a DVD it gives me the error:
DVD read error (1101) no cios

Also, when NeoGamma starts it gives me this message:
    You are not using IOS249
    ...
    Install a cIOS

    Any ideas?

Hmm still didnt work. I still get the error "You are not using IOS249" and the exact same errors as before.

Maybe I'm installing the cIOSs wrong? I downloaded the rar you linked to, put the files into a "cios" folder in the apps and launched it from the hbc. I install it from network, and before it asks me which IOS to use, and 249 is not an option so I use 38?

I have no idea and there's no good tutorial/guide to explain this stuff

I also get the "cios error ret 2011" when trying to install the CIOS from the launcher. How do I do this? There don't seem to be any instructions on how to install cIOS files

Hey IceV, I'm having the same problem that you were having. What did you do to fix it? I'm looking through the link he gave you but I'm not even sure what I'm looking for
