Reset the Wii's Internal Battery? Can You?

Hey everyone a couple of weeks ago I bricked my wii and posted in the bricked section on these forums and unfortunatly could not get it fixed but then I thought of this...

All things electronic have a way to reset themselves to factory settings by removing the internal battery and such so since the wii has an internal battery to keep time and date and such where is it located in the wii? Is it on the motherboard? If anyone could please help or post a guide/link that shows where the internal battery is located it would be much appreciated as now I think I can save my wii!

I am in need of a way to do this as my wii is fully bricked and somehow the video and audio ios's got deleted as well so savemiifrii doesnt work

I dont think resetting its internal battery would do anything since the wii's system menu and IOSs are stored on the wii's 512MB nand

The battery that keeps the time is located at the front end corner of the consoles bottom where the Serial #'s located. It's easily slides out when the screw is unscrewed. You can even see when your system was given life at the factory when it's taken out and put back in. *L* The clock resets to that original Month/Year.

I guess in that case it would do no good if your system is bricked. Hope all goes well with that.
Nintendo' most inspired core game titles are stuck overseas. Nintendo Of America sux when it comes to the localization of these game titles as they court with their new found casual gamer/soccer mom audience this console generation. Thus indirectly promoting the growth of Homebrewing & basically telling their core audience if they want it, mod chip or Homebrew it. Thanks Nintendo! My Wii and its functionalities have never felt more complete than when I took my first sip of the Brew. - Brewaholic
