SD Card for homebrew and wii channels?

Hi guys, I have done an unsuccessful search for a solution to this, so sorry if I have repeated anything thats gone before. My question is this, is it possible to use the same sd card for homebrew and the wii channels? If so how? I have copied the contents of the sd card I used for running homebrew to another larger sd card that I used for wii channel games, however the homebrew stuff runs fine still, but if I try to access the sd card from the system menu it just locks up. Can I use the same card for both, or is it a case of swapping out sd cards to play wii ware and VC games? Thanks in advance!!

Use a San Disk SD card. If you're still unsure get a 2Gb San disk Wii SD Card. First card I ever bought when system menu 4.0 was release in March and never had any issues with compatibility. Those are compatible all the way around with Homebrew, Wii SD Menu, and even Bootmii likes them. They should even be cheaper now than 6 months ago. I purchased mine for 12 dollars or so at Gamestop after a pricedrop for them that I saw online. They were originally like 24.99 or something before.
Nintendo' most inspired core game titles are stuck overseas. Nintendo Of America sux when it comes to the localization of these game titles as they court with their new found casual gamer/soccer mom audience this console generation. Thus indirectly promoting the growth of Homebrewing & basically telling their core audience if they want it, mod chip or Homebrew it. Thanks Nintendo! My Wii and its functionalities have never felt more complete than when I took my first sip of the Brew. - Brewaholic

Did you have to partition it at all, im using a 4bg sandisk card, still got the same issues, homebrew is fine, as soon as I access the SD card through system menu the wii just freezes, Im wondering if its anything on the root of the card that the wii isnt fond of?

If you used Bannerbomb previously to install Homebrew Channel delete that file from the 'private' folder.
