thats beyond my expertise, lol, im currently modding my other Wii following this guide NEW AND IMPROVED WII SOFTMOD GUIDE ! which seems easy enough, then ill see if Overlord gives me any problems, if not then I might just let the game update or do the Nintendo update which would hopefully install all new IOS without removing much or anything that ive done, and if it does well hopefully its a easy fix and isssssssss fixable, ORRRRR I might just have to suck it up and stick with "if it aint broke, dont fix it" because its not the end of the world if i have to go into HBC and load the game up with gekos, right?

EDIT: Damn that was an easy mod, took me no time at all while it took me a few whole days for my first. But it still says to update in disc menu... at the end of the tutorial there was a link to a guide that said if you wanted to play the games through the disc menu use that guide. Basically wants to install preloader to remove the updates which is what starpatch does. Which would you go with Dogeggs?? Also this Wii didnt let me install bootmii for security so no safety on this one either to really experiment on my own without worry...

Strange that you are on 4.1 and have older IOS revisions. You'd expect that a system update would bring you up to date with them all, especially when compared with a disc update anyway.

    How did you reach 4.1?
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Wii 1: I use Waninkokos updater to get to 4.0 then used it to get to 4.1 and dont remember doing anything after.

Wii 2: I followed that guide I posted the link to which just told me to use offical update to 4.1 then use all the programs which 1 step was an IOS downgrader so im guessing it knocked down most of them and patched them with some bug trucha fix or whatever. What I should have done on this Wii was install the Drivekey, update officaly and see what happened before I did anything else. Ah theres always a cousins Wii, lol.

Ive decided to live with it and not try anything stupid just to get it to boot from there, I can live with the alternative (use a loader). Id just like to get the USB thing going now and IF anything ill install preloader on one and startpatch on the other so I can test them both out and they say they can let you boot from there so both should do the job, just differently then what I wanted.
