"An Error has occured. Press eject button and remove the disk" PLZ HELP

I think the thread title explains it all...

Whenever I insert a original game disk (Wii, GC) of any region after I hear the disk being read, it gives me the "error, remove disk" screen.
Not only that but it also gives me a similar screen (not exactly the same) when I click on any official channel (e.g. Mii Channel), which again tells me to remove the disk and turn off.

I dunno why, but added on chans like Homebrew channel, Backup Launcher etc worked fine.

I fiddled around abit trying to fix it and now I am currently sitting with a 4.1J virgin Wii (done by the "How to remove softmods and make your Wii a virgin" guide) and I dont know what else to do to fix this.

    Is my Wii bricked?
Is sending the console off to repair the only solution left?

Does you serial start with LU64/65?
Was it 4.1J to start with?
Before you virginised it, did games load through BU launcher?

Yes it was 4.1J to start with

no the serial doesnt start with LU64/65 (starts with LJ... hope im looking at rite place)

and although i only used BU, Gecko etc to launch PAL region games it worked.

Now that you mention it, I think it became like this after I pressed home>exit when I was playing a PAL game (my Wii being NTSC-J) and the screen was black forever so i turned off the power and turned it back on. Did this several times actually...

Was tht the problem? Hopefully its fixable ...
