Make sure you install cIOS, let's say cIOS 38 rev 14 for safety's sake. Use the special cIOS installer, choose Network Installation.

If you are on 3.2 then you'll have no trouble. Just find it on the forum, it's actually right there on the front page at the top as news.

As for the backup launcher. Make sure you have selected the Anti 002 option, if it hasn't got one then get a loader that has.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Use the NeoGamma R6 Backup Loader and on the options turn on the Anti 002 Fix and the Alternate dol (of course you will need to find the alternate dol in this forum)

to make sure im doing this right, Ive saved a copy of all the folders/files that were on my sd card & formatted it & got the boot.dol withthe apps folder there. inside the apps folder is the homebrew channel.
Ive now created a folder in the apps called neogamm (like it said in the tut).
    ive downloaded cIOS38_rev14-Installer.rar.
where do i put this after i unrar it?
do i need need any more files?
sorry to sound like a thiko but its really frying my brain downloading all these files & istallign etc..
will the homebrew channel still work on my wii now all the files are off the card?
i have also extracted the rztp.dol file & put it in the neogama folder in teh apps part

After you unrar it you should have a folder named cIOS38-rev14 Installer, open it make sure the .dol file is named boot so it looks like: boot.dol

then put the cIOS38-rev14 Installer folder in your apps folder that is in the root of your sd card

    great.
ive done that. now do i install it? ive got wad manager, custom wad manager on the list of apps on the homebrew channell.
also, i am stuck with trying to get the neogamma launcher. i cant seem to find it anywhere to install.
ive downloaded neogamma r6hbc but there is 2 folders in there : source & neogamma. the neogamma folder contains a boot.dol.

where do i put on the card, in the apps? & how do i install them
ive worked out how to install IOS55 & IOS33 as per the tut using custom ios installer.

    im appreciating you helping me,

Just for the record, you'll need the Wii Motion Plus add-on to play Sports Resort

You put the neogamma folder in your apps folder and the cIOS38-rev14 folder should have a boot.dol just like the neogamma one if not rename it to look just like it. cIOS38-rev14 folder goes in the apps folder as well.

To install IOS38, 53 and 55 wads yes you use wad manager

As for cIOS38-rev14, you launch it like any other app such as wad manager, same goes for neogamma
