    Installed WADs Transferrable?

    Hello mates.

I have a softmodded Wii console, with 4.0U firmware. Everything works pretty great. I wanted to test installing a WAD by using Majora's Mask. So I placed the .wad on my SD drive, popped it in, opened up the HBC and Wad Manager 1.4, and as expected, everything went off without a hitch. I even opened Majora's Mask Channel, and was playing it just fine.

The problem is, however, that I don't want to keep it on my Wii memory. I wanted to place this game, and all the other WADs I install, on my 4gig SD memory card. So I placed it into the slot, went to the Wii Data Management section, and moved all the new games I installed onto the SD card.

When I try to boot them off the SD card, however, it says "Unable to load game," or something along those lines. I press okay, and try another game -- Same thing. Even Majora's Mask, which was working just fine when it was on my Wii System Memory, was no longer working.

So then I tried moving them back to the Wii. But it wouldn't do that either. Kept saying, "The data may not have been moved" and sure enough, it wasn't. I tried booting a Virtual Console game that I actually purchased off of the same SD card, and it worked, plus I could move it back and forth from my SD card and my Wii without problem.

Therefore I was forced to assume that it was because these games were placed on the Wii using the WAD installer. Is this true?

If it's possible to boot gamed installed through a WAD from an SD card, please let me know how. I would much rather place all my Virtual Console games onto the SD card.

    Thank you all in advance,
    Tot

Patched IOS60 fixes the trucha bug that is stopping you from reading your sd card correctly.
Here is the file you need IOS60patched.rar

    Glad to help.
The whole idea for version 4.0 is to free up the system menu.
Not sure why some peeps still believe in the stone age. (version 3.2)
