Is the download PAL or NTSC

Is there any way to tell if a download is PAL or NTSC if it isnt specified? If i play a NTSC iso on my 4.0e (softmodded, HBC and backup launcher) i'm a bit worried I may brick it

    any advise guys

Most torrents tell the region when looking for them before download, but like mentioned in the above reply the region of the ISO directly can be viewed with Regionfrii and also it can be changed to the native region of the Wii it's being played on.

Nintendo' most inspired core game titles are stuck overseas. Nintendo Of America sux when it comes to the localization of these game titles as they court with their new found casual gamer/soccer mom audience this console generation. Thus indirectly promoting the growth of Homebrewing & basically telling their core audience if they want it, mod chip or Homebrew it. Thanks Nintendo! My Wii and its functionalities have never felt more complete than when I took my first sip of the Brew. - Brewaholic

Even after changing the region of the ISO to the Wii' native region still be skeptical and 'DO NOT' take the chance of excepting an update from the disc. Remember what region it was originaIly before it was changed so it's risky. If the game disc does ask for an update still after you know the Wii has all the most current IOS/CIOS' and system menu installed just eject the game disc and install a menu loader. If you use or have a menu loader such as Preloader v0.29 or the newest version of Starfall enable the available settings in which ever one to 'Skip Disc Update check'. Then you can play any game without the disc update checks.

    Thumbs up

    Cheers matey
I installed regionfrii and fortunatly the downloads were PAL. probably wont chance any NTSC even though there is an option to change region. I couldnt check the ISOs that were already burned to disk though as i dont have a LG dvd so i took the chance and they all worked
Out of interest, was this foolish?? what would have happened if one of them had been NTSC? would I instantly brick my wii?
    Thanks again for your help/advise
