Tutorial: How to play a backup of Wii Sports Resort
For all you people who are having problems playing Wii Sports Resort, here is a complete and easy tutorial on how to make it work properly.
If done correctly, this will eliminate 002 errors/black screen errors, and should allow you to play Wii Sports Resort without updating
Tested and working on a 3.2U Softmodded Wii
NOTE: If you are running cIOScorp and are getting the An error has occurred. Press eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii Console off and refer to the wii operations manual for help troubleshooting message, simply upgrade to cIOScorp 3.2 to fix the problem. Otherwise, follow the tutorial below.
First, download and install Neogamma R6 from here:
Now we can begin. There are actually two ways of doing this.
The Easy Way
Burn the game to a DISC (USB Loading will not work yet)
Load Neogamma R6 while holding 1
Go to "Config Options"
Set "Alternate dol" to DISC
Set "002 Fix" to YES
And set "Save Config" to YES
Then load the game
While the game is loading, you should see some black-and-white words on the screen
Keep pressing Right on the D-Pad until you see "player.dol" and press A
Watch the Wii Motion Plus video (you must watch the whole thing)
At the end, press A, and turn off your Wii and then turn it back on
Load up Neogamma while holding 1 and go to "Config Options"
Set "Alternate dol" to OFF
Now the game will boot fine using Neogamma!
If that didn't work, try the other method
The Hard Way
Load the WSR ISO in WiiScrubber and navigate to partition1/sys/mpls_movie/
Right click and Extract "player.dol"
Rename it RZTE.dol (for USA) or RZTJ.dol (For Japanese) or RZTP.dol (For PAL)
Important: MAKE SURE YOU USE THE DOL FILE FROM YOUR OWN ISO FILE, DO NOT OBTAIN IT FROM OTHER SOURCES, OR ELSE IT WILL NOT WORK!
Make a new folder on the root of your SD card called NEOGAMMA
Then put the .dol file into it
Load up Neogamma R6 while holding 1
Go to "Config Options"
Then turn "002 Fix" to YES and "Alternate dol" to SD using the d-pad
Then set "Save Config" to YES
Burn the game to a DISC (USB Loader will not work yet)
Load up the game and watch the movie (you must watch the whole thing)
At the end, press A and your Wii will restart
Then go back into Neogamma while holding 1 and go to Config options
Turn "Alternate dol" to OFF
Boot up the game, and it'll work just fine!!
USB Loaders:
To load the game from a USB drive, boot up the game from a disc and create a save file. Then USB loading will work like normal (make sure the 002 fix is enabled on your loader)
If you are still having problems, feel free to PM me.
Hope this helped! Enjoy the game!

Nice post, you forgot to mention RZTP.dol [for PAL]. It does run off the USB, although I did burn it to disc first, watched the video. I then stuck it on my USB Drive and it loads fine through NeoGamma V6 002 fix on. Just in case anyone is like me and on Rev10, yes it works fine under that.

I have tried the above but still black screen
3.2U and using Neogmma 6 with Rev13 still no luck...someone help
If you are running off of disc, then only set the 002 to anti, assuming you are using NTSC version, that should stop the black screen, video should be console default. If you are trying to run from USB then you should do like Hawker said and use Cios rev 10, I use the same. I had to use the disc trick to load the PAL version in order to watch the video and after that it loaded without any problem from USB.

No....You still need to do the alternate dol trick for the NTSC version
