Tutorial: How to play a backup of Wii Sports Resort

That's correct, I tried installing 55 then 53 and they both bricked my ability to even see the USB drive, so I am stuck with the original (I think IOS16) for the time being.

I just got this my first wii couple of days ago, and I have been relying the USB loader (which I couldn't get to work with sport resort) so I am now using neogamma R7 for this plus wii fit plus which also doesn't load off my USB as well. Honestly, this "some games in HD some games in DVD" is kind of annoying ... I really should try to solve this problem once and for all.

BTW, just to clearify thing, when ppl keep mentioning "try 38/53/55" that means tyrh them one by one right? They don't "stack" installs like windows update, right?

OK, I update my ISO from version 10 to 14 using "IOS38-64-v3610.wad" and both Wii Fit Plus and Sport Resort are loading perfectly off the USB drive. Phew~ Still kinda annoying for the fact that some games load perfectly fine off USB drive and this two throws a 002 and have to resort to using NeoGamma R7. I can see myself eventually have a few different loaders for some games just doesn't load well off one or another.

What loader are you using? If you're using USBLoaderGX, you can use the 002 fix. You don't need to use NeoGamma solely for the 002 fix.

It's the SD/USB Loader v1.5 of TeknoConsolas.es by Waninkoko/Kwiirk. The loader that came with the modding package I found. I'll look into USBLoaderGX, thought I am really interested in the ones that does "coverflow" cause that look awesome.

Hi all,

Total noob here so will tell you how far I've got. I got Wii Gator 3 installed on my wii by a local chap who charged me £20. I then wanted to play Wii Sports Resort but he wanted another £20 to put neogamma on.

I found this site and with the help of the tutorials managed to put Neogamma R7, IOS249 rev 14 onto my wii. I tried a back up of WSR but it loaded a black screen and went back to the wii menu. I then tried the 'easy method' mentioned in the first post here and now WSR plays but the entire picture is in red .. any ideas ?

I'm running v3.1E. I tried WSR via Wii Gator 3 and received the 002 error. FYI when I went into the config options on neogamma there was no option for '002 fix' that is mentioned in the original post. Is that normal ?

i may have a dol floating on my sd card that it used but i cant remember. it got the video to play then when it restarted i just changed the dol back to default. i know some of my details are missing but this may help someone out who cant get it to load the video from the dvd.

Ok I'm having a real problem getting this one to work.

I have tried NeoGamma R7 and the newest R8 BETA.

I've tried using a DOL file from the SD card, and i've told it to use Disc DOL also.

Whenever I try and run the game, I get:

"The Game Disc could not be read. Refer to the Wii Operations Manual for details"

I've burnt this game twice, at 2x on different media, so I know that isn't the issue.

Can anyone help? I have even tried the 002 fix in NeoGamma R6 now and still nothing...

When i choose 002 hack, and DOL file from Disc, and then choose "player.dol" instead of "main.dol", I just get a black screen - no error...!

Any advice very much welcomed at this stage!!

I was able to finally fix it without a disk:

1. use the hard way from the initial post to save dol file RZTE.dol on SD Card in Neogamma folder
2. load Neogamma r7 with these sttings: alternate DOL to SD; there is no 002 fix in R7 version, save config = yes, load game from WSBF (external usb drive)
3.load game from WBSF and the short movies loaded, then I rebooted WII
4. load USBLoaderGX and run game from usb drive as any other game and it worked

I had to use the USB drive to load the game from because when I try to load from DISK I got error: the game disk could not be read
