Thanks for the tute,
Just thought I'd let people know that I have had some success with the hard way and USB Loader GX (lastest version with Alt dol support).
I followed the hard way and was able to watch the intro movie (using the extracted alt dol - renamed to RZTP01.dol - instead of RZTP.dol stated in the tute). Then turned off the alt dol and was able to start the game and create a save but was stopped at the connect motion+ bit as I don't have a motion+ at the moment.
Remember to also turn on the error 002 fix. Give it a try. Cheers.
Edit: Also remember that the alt dols need to be in the root of the SD card for USBLoader GX.

Still having problems..
When I try to load the game from a disc, the screen starts flickering green and nothing loads at all.
I also tried installing Wii Sports Resort on my external HD (with USB Loader GX) and using the alternate dol posted on this thread, but when I do that, the screen flickers and the Wii freezes. I also tried leaving the disc in and using the disc as the alternate dol, but the same error occurs.
Can anyone please help???

OK, I am sort of new to this. I got my 4.0 (US) Wii to work with USB Loader GX. I have a bunch of back-ups and they work OK. I just bought Wii Sports Resort and when I first put in the disc it says I have to update the Wii. Can I do this? What will happen? I assume this will update my Wii to 4.1 but will I brick it or will I lose the homebrew channel, etc.? I just want to play the game from the disc. I'll figure out getting the back-up to work later.

I did this and mine works just fine.
When you try to play Wii Sports Resort, you'll probably get the error code #002 that this thread is about, but just follow the directions and you should be fine. I seem to be the only one getting the green screen problem. If you have any other problems, I'm sure someone here will be able to help you!

Thanks for the help! I guess I already had the 4.1 fix installed because I updated from the Wii Sports Resort disc and everything still works! I had the original disc so I was able to create a save file and watch that stupid video. Now the back up works just fine!

Thanks im using NeoGamma R7, i didnt have to do the (Set "002 Fix" to YES )

Keep pressing Right on the D-Pad until you see "player.dol" and press A )... Works fine Thanks hackernerd.

Hi I followed the "easy method" and got the video to load, then when it ended it said to press A to continue. Then the wii reset itself.
So is my copy working? I don't have motion plus yet because I wanted to make sure my copy worked before buying one.
So my question is if you don't have a wii motion plus connected will the game just reset itself after the video?
