    Disc Channel/ System Update help

I have a wii on the 3.4 update and when i insert a disc the disc channel wont let me play the game unless i perform a system update. I installed the homebrew channel using bannerbomb when on version 4.0 and then downgraded to 3.4 because its the best version for running homebrew and using wads. Im worried that if i update to 4.1 it could mess up and brick my wii. Would this happen??? and also would i still be able to install wads and use homebrew?? Much appreciated if you could help a newbie out.

DO NOT run the update. If you do you'll be the proud owner of the following

Upgrading after Downgrading is the worst thing you couild do.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Have a look through the Bricked Issues forum recently and you'll see half a dozen poor unfortunates who downgraded from 4.0 to 3.2 and back up with say the Conduit disc and got a brick for their troubles.

Lucky perhaps, maybe the down to 3.4 and then to 3.2 helped.

Did you install PreLoader v0.29 or Starfall to block Disc Updates but Starfall will only work on a 3.2 menu and PreLoader will only work on 3.2 or 4.0. So you may want to downgrade or you can use a PC app on the ISO before burning called Wii BrickBlocker which removes the update partition of a game but BrickBlocked ISOs sometimes don't work as well as the 1:1 Copies

Hold reset while booting you wii then it should take you to preloader then it should say:
LOAD:Homebrew or Autoboot:Homebrew or something, change it to System menu.
