Unhappy Ocarina + Gecko os Help please :( :(

    HI all,
Im pretty new at this but i want to use cheat codes, i dont know if anyone here will help me becasue of the big "anti cheat" post i see round but i have spent so much time trying to figure this out i would just like to get it to work and am not interested in cheating online becasue my stats are pretty good!
I am trying to use cheat codes for mario kart, i have the correct codes (i beleive anyway) for my PAL system and i have put the text files through the code manager Homebrew application and it has converted them successfully and put them in the codes folder in the root of my sd card, now i can boot the game from either Ocarina or Gecko os and it says that it has found the codes and says it is applying them, the game starts and nothing happens? I cannot figure out what i am doing wrong, is there a button or combination i need to press the get the cheat working? Or? Im either just using the mario wheel or classic controller also. I cannot figure out what is going on and have tried so many different things, i assume because it says its applying the codes that i have done most things right, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Try checking if the codes are variables, i no many of them are. USe cheat manager, cheat downloader and the latest version of Gecko OS to make sure that what you are doing is correct. Make sure you generate a GCT file in order to use the cheats, activating them on cheat manager with +.
