Help With Bootmii and Hack mii installer

Ok, I have installed bootmii as boot 2 onto my wii. I have seen video where after they do this, they restart there wii and a bootmii screen pops up where they can back up there nand, continue to system menu, etc. I never got this screen. Is there something I am supposed to do?

This is what my bootmii config file looks like:

    # BootMii config file

    # Video mode, possible settings:
    # NTSC, PAL50, PAL60, PROGRESSIVE
    VIDEO=NTSC

    # Autoboot, possible settings:
    # SYSMENU, HBC
    #AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU

    # Autoboot delay, in seconds:
    # Default is 5
    #BOOTDELAY=5

*My config file does not have the spaces though, the spaces appeared after I copied and pasted.

Also, I have installed some wads on my wii, then moved them to the sd card. Whenever I try to access my sd card, it freezes, or a screen comes up that says load boot.elf/boot.dol. I would like to know how I could stop this from happening so that I can access the wiiware and vc that is on my sd card.

I guess my sd card isnt compatible, is there any way to backup my nand so that I can restore if my wii bricks up. Also, how do I access the wads on my sd card?

Try deleting the Bannerbomb hack from the SD card.

As it stands your bootmii config will automatically load bootmii every time the Wii starts, provided the relevant armboot.bin and ppcboot.elf files are correctly located in your bootmii folder.

If Bootmii doesn't like your SD card then just try another, they're practically free these days. I use Sandisk 2GB MicroSd with adaptor and they seem to work with everything.

Well, I was using a Lexar 1gb Microsd adapter and i guess its not compatible.

I am going to buy a Sandisk 2gb wii sd card. Anyone run bootmii off of this or know if it is compatible?

Seeing as SD adaptors are just pass through devices then, yes.

Its compatible. First SD card I ever bought when menu 4.0 was released. One can't go wrong with this card at all.

Awesome! Be sure to every so often at your own leisure make a more recent backup of your nand. That's so whenever you do need to use the backup it won't take your system memory too far back before certain game files/saves, Wiiware/VC, playstats, cios' and other stored data etc. Its like time traveling. You definately want to do this before any big softmodding project where bricks are possible or you successfully complete the project but aren't quite pleased with the results.
This also comes in handy if one has to send their Wii into Nintendo under warranty for repairs not related to softmodding and you can effortlessly virginize your Wii again real quick. Then all you have to do is run the Hackmii installer again uninstaIl DVDX, HBC and Bootmii. I made a backup just like that when I got my new replacement Wii that they sent me. All these particular saves in phases are set aside in special folder on my PC.
