Did you try formatting the card(s) with Panasonic SD formatter to fat16 or fat32. Maybe you got something in the SD slot. If I suspected that I got something in the slot I would repeatedly (many, many times) insert and eject the card in the hopes of working free what may have got in there. Or as a last resort, try some of that compressed air used for cleaning the inside of comupters, maybe you can blow it out. Or maybe you're screwed and something in there got fried. Have you tried a new SD card?

What was the last thing that you have done to the Wii, Before this happened?

Did you upgrade, downgrade, or install, remove any of the IOS's?

What version firmware is on your Wii?

I did NOTHING my son was playing a game via the usd loader and bang it all froze. was running 4.0 at the time , it also kicked out my internet connections and wouldnt rego until i did a complete update.. now on 4.1 but still no sd card. even a blank card with a photo on it wont worj says cant use this card. and tried 3 different ones too.

ive leant the reader is soldered to the motherborad so not replaceable, so now no usb loader for me.

is there a way to load the usbloader apart from via usb, dont wanna mess with wifi just yet.

Hmm. Sounds like you may have had a surge/spike some how.

"is there a way to load the usbloader apart from via usb, dont wanna mess with wifi just yet" Not sure what your asking here! You need the to have a USBloader as a channel on the Wii to do that.

Not sure if you can use an USB card reader in the Wii's usb port.!. ,But it's an idea to look into.

I can't help you there. I do not know anything about the SD Gecko.
Get a usb sd reader from the list above and try it.

    Good Luck...

    SD card... bashed

Hi, just a quick one Im probably being retarded asking this but,

I have version 4.1E so the SD card icon is active
    I have softmodded the wii.
    Homebrew
    Wiiflow
    Preloader
    Bootmii
and a crap ton of wiiware and nes wads( all loaded via my scandisc 2gb card), now obviously I ran out of blocks on the home screen so I went into channels and moved them from wii > SD card... so I go back to the wii menu and expect them to be gone.. yes. nice one.
but then when I click on the SD card icon to go and play the games from there, it goes in the screen says loading from SD card then freezes - I then have to power down the wii.

    This is a 2gb Scandisk,

I have a 1gb and that works perfectly.

Does the card need formatting maybe ???

    Cheers all
