Setting up WiiConnect24 on 3.2 will it update me?

Im running 3.2 all my homebrew setup and good to go but i wanted to agree to terms for wiiconnect24 so i can use the ship channel briefly to get the check mii out channel. If i agree is it gonna update my system or something and also can i disable wiiconnect after im done?

    1. Do you have Pre-Loader or Starfall installed to stop updates?
    2. The Agreement doesn't automatically dounload System updates;
    3. Unless you specifically need to it is better turned off, you can still use internet for downloads etc.
    4. What I find is good idea is to use parental lock, so any requests for System updates are blocked by password. Stops children bricking wii, if all else fails.

Ive got starfall on there. I enabled it and got what i needed and turned off in standby mode but i might disable it. If not though the parental lock isnt a bad idea for extra security its just me using it but still a good idea.

Edit: I looked up parental settings and found this
"Note that system updates will be delivered regardless of this setting."

I used to use Starfall but changed to Preloader 0.29, as it gives you a better recovery chance from bricking and is written by the same person. It also works on other versions after 3.2.
Unless they have 2 policies, if I navigate to the system update menu and try to manually update it asks for password.

So I unless the have 2 rules?

Hi guys, I got a little confused.
I read here in another thread that Nintendo forced updates since firmware 3.4

If that's true, does that mean parental lock isn't an option to avoid updates?
    or
That means an update prompt will be shown letting me choose whether to update or not regardless if a password has been set?

I happen to like the Everybody votes channel, is it safe to turn wiiconnect24 on when I want to use the channel and then turn wiiconnect24 off?

Wii version 4.0 only with homebrew channel, I don't have any of boot mii, starfall, etc.
    Thanks guys

I have HBC Preloader MPlayer etc etc. With all this installed, can i still play online multiplayer games? 4.1E (PAL)?
