    Burning ISO issues

    So,

I've been trying to burn the grand slam ISO file onto a DVD-RW. But it doesnt seem to burn at all on to the disk, as in if you look at the CD after, you cant see the lines or marks you usually see after a burn. ive tried different software from cdburnerxp to isoburn but nothing works.

I know my CD drive isnt busted as i copy music cd's all the time.

I've been burning at a 3x speed and was wondering could it be that? will it matter ifi burn at a faster speed?

btw, im using BackupLoader on the WII

DVD-RW are not recommended media for backup loaders, you'd have difficulty with your Wii reading them, especially if you don't have a mod chip.

Why you can't see the recorded lines is because the size of the burn takes up 100% of the disc surface so you won't see the difference, trust me it's there if you look very closely at the edge of the disc at about 2 mm in from the edge. Or at least it is with the -R and +RW that I've used.

Windows will not recognise the DVD volume that you've created as it's in Wii proprietary format and will appear empty, 0 bytes used with 0 bytes available.

    ive tried IMGburn aswell =[

When i do put it in the wii drive, i get the some disc error from backuploader, error begins with 3. I cant remember exactly which it is, is it worth em trying to burn at a higher speed?

I am running the 4.0 firmware on the Wii, but ive got cIOS installed and got the 249 IOS

Well if it's 349 then it's DVD error and probably a consequence of using dodgy -RW media.

Seeing as it's recommended to burn DVD-R at 2x or 4x for successful backup playing I can't see that turning the speed up too much is going to help. I must admit though that 3x speed is quite a strange speed.

Get Verbatim DVD-R, use imgburn and burn at 2x or 4x and your problems will probably go away.

cIOS is not the issue here. Black, Green and Blue screens are usually the result of incorrect cIOS.
