bootmii/NAND question
Will new versions of bootmii change the way the NAND is backed up? What exactly would a new version of bootmii add? Do you need to acccess the boot2 sector for a upgrade or just update the software on the sd card?
I really don't want to keep upgrading bootmii if it's not needed. I'm afriad of the eletricity going off, even though bootmii seems to take only 5 seconds.
Thanks.

Ya the old NAND backups will work on the new bootmii but i am not sure what the newer one does because i have only used .2.

If you're that worried about bricking r14, which is due this weekend, loads NANDs from an SDCard. Which means you could brick the nand on your sdcard non stop and all you'd have to do is copy the clean one back onto the sdcard.

my main question is when I need to upgrade bootmii do I need to rewrite to the boot2 sector or just update the software on the SD card? Thanks.

You will have to replace the boot2
