I need Some Wii Modding help
Alright i want to be able to Backup games.
I cant use
I have a LU65 So its out of the question.
only thing i get stuck on in that tut is the part were you
"Restart your wii and run wad manager 1.4 again using same method as step 4 except this time select IOS35 as the one it should use and install cIOS249 rev9.wad and HBC 1.0.1.wad."
It freezes when i select ISO35 And hit the A button.
So I can install and do have HBC installed and it dose work perfect...
Any Help is appreciated or if you guys know if its possible to even mod my Wii.
Thanks in Advance.
Im also Running 4.0U
And I have a USB External HD i can use i have a 4 gig flash SD card and i have about 36 DVD-R disk at my disposable.
I was having tons of trouble getting anything to work on my LU64 until I was pointed to this thread: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...s-any-wii.html
Before you can use those instructions you need to install the Homebrew Channel... It's easy enough, I used bannerbomb and it was very straight forward.
I followed those instructions and had my Wii loading games from my USB drive in under 20 mins... You do need to install a WBFS manager on your PC to format your thumb drive and move the backups to it...
If it works out you should give some thanks to user Dogeggs who put this together and is very helpful... Good luck!

Really, you're not picking out a tattoo here. If you dont like the one you get, you simply erase it. There's really not much difference between them though. It's mostly aesthetic.
Alright thanks ima try geting a usb HD capeable of working with the Wii the Simple tech one i have now dosent seem to work and yes i did convert it to WBFS with WBFS converter 3.0. So wish me luck Also is there a list or somthing of tested and confirmed External Drives that work with the Wii?

Sounds like you're on the right track... I use neogamma as my backup loader (USB)... It can be installed as it's own channel so you don't have to load it through HBC every time but I haven't tried that yet... I just load neogamma through HBC and it works fine... As for drives, I don't know about HDD, I haven't been able to find a list.... I use a sandisk cruzer 8gb micro usb thumb drive and it works great... Also, make sure you're plugging it into the bottom usb port on your wii, I read somewhere that it won't work if you use the top one (does anyone know if there is any truth to that?).
