    getting error ret =-1

    hi i have been reading everything i can in order to install wads onto my wii. i have the hbc installed and i am at version 3.2u. i also have the homebrew browser and it works. i even have d/l the nes, snes emulators from the browser and they work! i just cannot get my wii to install wads!? i have read the guides and followed step by step and i still get the same error ret =-1.

    i tried to install wads using wad manager v1.3

    any help at all would be appreciated.

    1. Try using cios downgrader as it sounds like you have corrupt cios,
    2. Did you get 16 and 249 to install correctly.

    hi, thanks for the advice. i do not know what 16 and 249 are. i dont really even know what cios i have installed, it took me about 2 days to get the hbc and emulators working. should i get the cios downgrader and do what? does it install via wad manager or by some other means. again, i am sorry if there are obvoius answers to these questions. if you could post a link to the cios downgrader that would be great. and can i just install the 16 and 249 over top of my existing cios?

    Error -1 means that that file is not present. I think you are instaling using wifi. If connection fails or problem with download you get this error. Just try again or try using cable connection. Change wifi channal. It did help me. as i had same problem from time to time.
