    ? about online hacking

    If i use codes online such as mario kart, will nintendo ban my wii or do something similiar to catch me?

    yes - you will most likely get traced and caught, once you have been detected cheating they will fully scan your wii and find any mods you have done which may lead to a forced update that will destroy mods and could even brick you.

    After the scanning, I've heard they report your IP and MAC address as well to an internationally maintained database out of Nuremberg Germany exclusively design to track down these cheaters for further persecution.

    yes, ip & mac addresses are handed to isps for further monitoring for illegal activities, ie downloading mp3s/xvid/iso etc
