If it is spindown issues then it's your hardware that's causing the problem and I don't think the cIOS has a work around for it yet, if ever.

If your Maxtor drive has a power saving funcrtion then the only way to change that is by checking for a Maxtor utility or other hard drive utility that will allow you to alter the setting. Check Maxtor first.

i noticed that it does it only on certain games?

    mario galaxy and transformers.

what is wired is that when you transfer via wfbs it is the biggest games..

like 3.47 gigs and the other only came out at like 1 gigi max..

i tryed pool yesturday for about 20min and was working fine..

The game size is just a coincidence.

The test I used was to load up Mario Kart, play half a lap and then leave it for an hour or so paused. If when you return and finish the race it doesn't resume then you probably have spindown issues.

Do you have a manufacturer name of your enclosure? Have you tried looking for a Maxtor utility? Also an application called HDDParm might help bhut it will need to be plugged directly to your PC (not through USB)

I found this thread on GBA Temp and another here

    Interesting..

I seem to have problem with the cIOS rev13 and 13b. The minute i install this, both my USB loader GX and USB Loader COnfigurable fails to recorgnize my external hard disc.. |(

And the Hermes 223 app kept failing to get the latest patch. Only 14/15 is successful.. Not sure what's happening here.

Cala, I'd probably go back to rev12 or even rev10, at least until rev 14 comes out, that is if you are sure you've installed 13 or 13b fully.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Yes, i did that. Reverted to rev10 and all is well again. Well, at least i could now continue to use my external HDD.
