Thread: backup launcher problems

okay let me start from the beginning and let me thank everybody in advance for trying to help me. I am modding my little cousins wii for him. he had a version 3.1U. I used bannerbomb and installed homebrew channel perfectly. i tried to run gamma backup launcher and it wouldnt work. I forgot to install the Cios..which was a dumb move on my part. so when it wouldnt work, i started searching and tried to install cios rev 7 which worked but didnt help play my backups. So i tried patchmii v5 and that one installed correctly too, but gamma still didnt launch. everytime i still get error 324 no cios. when i installed the patchmii i hooked it up to the internet and it updated to a 4.0 on accident!! when i run the patchmii or the cios rev7 now, it still has the install option not the uninstall option so did they ever even install?? It was then i figured out i needed to install the Cios that came with gamma which had the sonic the hedgehog icon, but when i ran it, it downloaded all 15 files but at the very end it gave me an error. I tried to use wad manager as well and it wont start up. i used any title deleter to see what ios i have but i didnt delete anything. I have ios 36 and thats what it says at the lower left of gamma launcher. I also noticed i have ios 254. all the other ios look normal. I tried to downgrade to a 3.2 but when i launch the downgrader it just restarts the wii. (both v 1.2 and v1).

So to put it in a nutshell, i have a 3.1 acidentally updated to 4.0. possible cios installed with cios rev 7 and/or patchmii v5. Cios that came with gamma gives me error at very end. All i want to do is boot backups but i keep getting error 324 no cios when i click launch game. when i click reboot with hooks it also gives me an error saying error loading menu. I would GREATLY appreciate any help that anybody could give me. i just dont know what to do next.

I aswell am having the same problem if i could just figure this out i could play guitar hero 5
