the conduit dont recognize wii speak

just got the device last night. i had to add a few wads to get it working. got the wii speak channel. everything works there. but when i go play the conduit, i cant adjust my wii speak settings, it says that no wii speak device is plugged in.

now this happens most of the time, but this one time, when i was able to change the settings and stuff. but now it dont work at all. i'm super pissed because thats i why i bought the damn thing.

    any ideas about it?

edit; just tried it again. now it is recognizing it, it very wierd

This is not by me,so any thanx if this works for u should go to the guy who put it up first. When i remember where i got it i,ll add his name to the thread.

Ok, Many people are having this problem. I had it too..but then i did something to fix it.

If you do NOT have a Wii-Speak accessory..Download and install cIOS rev10 and try the game with Anti 002 error fix:
    cIOS36_rev10-Installer.zip

That is the ONLY thing you need to do if you don't have Wii-Speak.

If you have Wii-Speak and are using it in the Conduit you need to have rev13b:
    cIOS38_rev13b-Installer.zip

also If you do have Wii-Speak and are using it, you will also need Hermes IOS222/223 installer:
    Hermes_cIOS222_223_installer(from uloader 2.1).rar

Now, here is what you do (only for Wii-Speak users if you want to use it with the Conduit):

    1.Install rev13b using IOS249.

2.Restart your Wii by pressing any button once it has finished installing.

3.Go to the Wii Menu and go back to the Homebrew Channel and run hermes 222/223 installer.

4.It will say which IOS would you like to use..use IOS249 and hit A.

5.It will say whether you want to install 222 or 223. Just install 223.

6.Next it will say something about IOS36, choose the option that says IOS37 merged with IOS36 and hit A. Then wait until it has finished downloading and installing the CIOS. When it is done, it will automatically exit back to the Homebrew Channel.

    7. If you use USB Loader GX, click the game and go to Settings, then where is says IOS Used, hit A on it when it gets to IOS223. Then enable the 002 error fix to Anti.

That is it! Run the game, and it should boot the game. Then you will not have any broken record like music and no freezing at all. Enjoy!

I am definitely going to try that with the USB Loader GX. Thanks for the repost. Hope it works because it was a pain to get WiiSpeak 2.0 working on my setup.

Well this does fix all the jumpy connection and stuff, but my WiiSpeak still doesn't seem to want to connect.

Correction: My WiiSpeak *does* work in The Conduit now. Once one of my friends came online, it lit up blue and allowed me to talk to him. Very cool. Thanks again for posting this.

USB Loader GX not recognizing HDD?

I did the rev13b stuff then the Hermes stuff but now USB Loader GX won't recognize my HDD unless I unplug it and then replug it. Also, when I went to "Settings" it didn't have 223 as an option, just 222 and 249.

ANY HELP WOULD BE SUPER APPRECIATED!!! TIA!
