is the file less than 4 gigs? if it is then it has been scrubbed, and you will need to unscrub it in wiiscrubber
how to do this:
1) open wiiscrubber
2) load the ISO
3) on save options pick DIF
4) click scrub image. this will make another file that you will use later to unscrub
5) now select unscrub
6) pick the iso and the DIF file that was just created
7) save your iso and ur ready for burning
looking ar ur post though, i dont think that this will solve ur problem, since u already were able to play for 10 minutes before it died. did u get the cliiche version of the iso?

For what it's worth. The only other two things I can think of, one of which will probably be no help at all. Is one, maybe it just really hates being run in PAL mode? But i really dont if the modchips use the same method for that stuff the softs do.
Second is, could you run updates or something for your chip? I'm 100% a softmod guy, but I'm pretty sure the chips have their own firrmware you can update? Worth a try.
As for wiiscrubber. I'd bet all the money I'll ever have your disc wasnt scrubbed. All wiiscrubber would do for you is let you know what system updates it has on it. Like what IOS files it contains, what firmware - That stuff. If you've installed all the ios's we've listed here you're definitely covered on the IOS front. I'm a 3.1 and I run the game fine, which means we have nearly identical IOSs. The rest of the files in the update partition will be region specific shop channels & firmware. Stuff that both wouldnt matter and could possibly brick you.
If you really want to play with Wiiscubber just google it. You'll need a 'MakeKeyBin.exe' file as well. Then you can open your wii games like zip files and see what's inside. But I really think your only true option, unfortunately, is wait out that two weeks.
I've been waiting for Little King's Story to hit the states for months and I still have 3 weeks to go. So don't feel bad

The file was 4.7GB once extracted. So I'm assuming it is not 'scrubbed'. Also this is a 'cliiche' version. I'm starting to think it might be the DVD burner on my laptop, as I just tried to burn a Japanese backup of Wii Sports Resort with IMGBurn and on verification at 99% it came up with an "CRC or EEC" error and failed. I thought maybe because it has already burned and was 99% through verification it might be fine but it isn't even recognised as a game by my Nintendo Wii and when I try Gecko OS the screen just goes black and the Nintendo Wii resets.

I'm currently using Wiikey firmware 1.9s which as far as I am aware is the latest available for the Wii (confirmed on the official WiiKey website).
Dood i definitely think it could very well be the burner. I've been pretty much solid on it's the media all along. If possible i'd definitely try with a different burner. From the sounds of it your burner is killing your media.
And as for your disc being scrubbed -- it wasn't. You have to go out of your way to find a scrubbed disc. Almost nothing on the major torrent sites or the major forum download sites (wiisos/happyfreaks) is.

Just a couple of quick questions; Wii Sports Resort boots perfectly fine with Gecko OS but when I try to boot it off of the Wii Home Menu it just goes to a black screen and stops working, is there any reason for this? it's not the end of the world if there isn't a fix for this as it only takes 10 seconds more to boot it from Gecko OS anyway.
Also does anyone know if there is anything in the options menu that allows you to change the menu language? again it's not the end of the world as the pictures make it pretty obvious but it would be awesome if I was able to change the menu language to English.
Not sure what would be causing the disc channel not to boot it. You clearly have every IOS under the sun.
As for getting it in english - no dice. Nothing you can do to unjap it.
its not the burner i too have the same problem and ive used multiple torrents even one that had been pre scrubbed and what - the furthest ive gotten is the game produces a #002 error but now ive re done my cios when i try and boot it using the method i used to get the #002 error the wii locks up
what configuration do you have? have u used the 002 error fix to patch the iso? i dont understand how i have a simple homebrew mod in comparison to other people and i got it to run just by using ios 60 and 002 fix :P
